BEHIND THE LENS

      Eva Glez grew up watching her mother transform her salon client’s. Ultimately, what led to pursuing a career in beauty herself was observing how her mom’s hair services gave women an immediate confidence boost. Eva became a licensed cosmetologist and makeup artist in 2008. Since then, she has offered freelance makeup artistry services throughout southern California within the realms of editorial, print, runway, television, and video production. Eva specializes in beauty and fashion makeup looks which she applies with an airbrush and by hand. She is skilled in working with all skin tones and ethnicities and is exceptionally proficient in applications on dark skin. (A skill that many artists lack.)

 

      Eva prides herself in her creative visionary talents and passion for makeup application. Once she’s done working on a client and they see their reflection in the mirror, their self-esteem skyrockets. She says, “It’s as if they suddenly possess a lifetime of compliments and encouraging words that increase their self-worth and confidence.” She believes that it’s an extraordinary experience to alter someone’s exterior appearance with makeup yet witness them radiate beauty from within.

 

      Beyond her artistic talent, Eva is also an asset to work with. She has over a decade of experience in the corporate world as an executive in public relations. This results in a high level of ethics, professionalism, and dependability as well as strong communication and problem-solving skills. Be assured that Eva is always aware of the big picture and understands the importance of her clients’ needs. Regardless of if that’s a private client attending a special event or a large production with dozens of individuals on set or anywhere in between.

 

      She is a seasoned multi-tasker with a strong ability to anticipate needs and act on rectifying situations before they become issues.
